The Strokes played “Gratisfaction” on Ellen this past week. It will most likely be the band’s final American TV appearance in support of Angles.

The show will air on Wednesday, June 1 and it also represents the final day beloved tour manager Richard Priest and his baller mustache served as The Strokes’ tour manager. Priest bid adieu to The Strokes and his followers with the following gem…

We need a picture like that one at every gig.

Priest’s exit left arguably the coolest man in rock ‘n’ roll pondering a feature of barefoot performances and remembering the happier times.

We’ll miss you, Rich.

It’s ’cause he could never win those shoe-offs with Julian, Nick and Albert. It’s because of his inferiority complex, obviously.
