GQ profiles Julian Casablancas, Stereogum does a Q&A

by Eric Van Dril · 28 comments

julian-casablancas-gq-magazine-september-2014-02GQ posted a really strong profile of Julian Casablancas this morning, and it’s full of all sorts of interesting information.

There are the requisite parts of his backstory, which is commonplace for any story like this, but it provides new information like why Julian left New York City, his thought process behind Ask Me Anything and much more. Check it out.

Stereogum also just posted a quality Q&A with Julian. Some expected topics (why he prefers this record over Phrazes,  what it’s like to release his own record on his own label) are covered, but the conversation also gets very deep and he talks about how he wrote Human Sadness, as well as the current state of The Strokes. You can read it here.
