Zane Lowe will debut ‘All The Time’ on Wednesday, not Tuesday

in Comedown Machine

I apologize for misleading everybody. When Zane said two weeks from now, I thought it literally meant two weeks from Feb. 29, not two weeks and a day.

Again, I apologize. Let’s hang Wednesday though, OK?

I’ll have a post that morning, with the time of his show (it’ll be around 2 p.m. ET, I believe) and a link where you can listen to it live.

No worries sir, thanks for the update.

But didn’t Ryan Gentles send an email, like the strokes.com mailing with all the updates, the release date of Comedown Machine and All The Time single, and I was sure I read it would premiere 12 feb…can’t find the mail…maybe I just made it up.

Well one more day. I’ll have to tune it at work cause here Tuesday is a holiday…

so in australia when is it coming out?

4 Samster February 12, 2013 at 12:45 am

@dion, Australia is basically ahead of everyone else so roughly it should be 6to8 am EST on Thursday, nice to see a fellow Aussie!

@alx

****************

next up, the single…

the first official single is called “all the time” and we’ll have it ready for you on 2/19 when it will be available as an instant download for anyone that preorders “Comedown Machine” @ iTunes or the strokes store.

hopefully you’ll be hearing it on the radio before then though. if not, call your local radio stations and ask them to play “all the time”… they’ll have the track in house by valentine’s day, but probably not before.

@EVD
Although waiting another day makes me feel like Fab here:

lol Fab!

Anyway- Don’t feel badly! Some of us were saying we heard it was the 12th from a few sources – not just from you.
And how could we ever be mad at the guy who has given us Serious Strokes Fans such a great home? :)

@RS I just made it up then, cool.

This gives that 107.7 station a chance to leak it like they promised they would! Do it you cowards!!!

13 LillySu February 12, 2013 at 11:40 am

It’s just 25 hours more to wait. I think I can do that… I hope I can…

14 Ted February 12, 2013 at 12:07 pm

@LillySu
You can ;)

@shityea, I’m sick of triple j flagging San Cisco!

17 Jasper February 12, 2013 at 5:26 pm

Zane played an excerpt from The Strokes’ 2011 Reading show today, and confirmed that he would play the new single tomorrow. :)

18 shityeah February 12, 2013 at 11:45 pm

@samster triple j has gone downhill in the last decade or so. I blame the invention of dubstep and unearthed. San cisco are super annoying, i almost preferred them when they were pre teens playing garage knock offs as the flairz.

@shityea, do you get tame impala and the applause they’re getting as we’ll?? I’m starting to think Austrlia Asia cultural wasteland
