Wow! sounding fucking great and the setlist choices are making me so happy. I wish they had been playing these kind of sets all year but oh well. Maybe they just like europe better haha. And machu picchu isnt even one of my favorites from angles but its nice to see them playing it so well and people are loving it. Keep it up strokes!!!!

Trying Your Luck has always been one of my all time favorite Strokes songs so it’s great to see it back in the setlist. My favorite of the night.Also, the more I hear You’re So Right, the more I like it. It’s REALLY, really strong live.

Fantastic show! Once again, I’m blown away that Julian Casablancas, lead singer of the best rock band in the world, has to ASK if he can change mics because his is cutting out. Unbelievable. Someone should’ve been running out there to change when it cut out the very first time!

amazing show. good to see they are putting energy back into their performances. they havent had an amazing show like that since MSG. they were awesome and Julian was AMAZING. he sounded great. completely fantastic. why can’t they perform like this all the time? saved up their energy for europe i guess.

Julian is really funny. I laughed so bad when he said “from Los Angelas, California”. I get pretty anoyed with Fab, Nick and Nikolai. They look so angry and bored. Only Alb knows how to behave. And of course Julian. But i’ve always seen him as the one and only. His vocals on TYL, NYCC, UC was… There is no words. :)

In all seriousness, is Julian drinking again? He can’t remember any lyrics and doesn’t know when to start singing? I mean, he wrote the damn songs and can’t even care to remember them. The end of a once great band.

To be fair, they also played Meet Me In The Bathroom which they haven’t played in years. The songs they play live are the best in their catalogue.

I didn’t really see the big deal about the Riviera/Les Paul debate regarding Nick, but I think the difference in tone is REALLY apparent on Trying Your Luck. Regardless, I’m so stoked they’re branching out into songs outside their current comfort zone. I’ve always loved that one.

@kevin, i was at Bonnaroo and MSG. Hove seemed more similar to MSG, which was an amazing night. Bonnaroo was awesome but the Hove crowd seemed to be more into the show than at Bonnaroo, which can make a huge difference. everyone at bonnaroo was boiling from the heat too.

Despite Jules’ little mishap, Meet Me in the Bathroom was definitely the song I enjoyed the most from this set. Hope to hear it live some day too.

and meet me in the bathroom a real treat, when was that last played? 2003???
12:51, between love and hate and end has no end need to be brought back at some point
but thats just my bias towards room on fire i suppose
razorblade would be great too, but finaly the boys seem to be hitting their stride, sure vocals arent always perfect but i just dont think the new songs are in the right key for him
