I like that Julian looks like he’s giving a sneaky thumb’s up in the picture, like a wink to the readers. It’s kind of hard to tell if they’re saying they get on because that’s what the fans want or because they really do – when i started reading the article i got so excited because that seemed to be the case but by the end of it I was a little less convinced. I think they stuck in one too many references to “image” and “what the fans want”. I also thought Nick’s comment towards the end of the article about Julian being able to walk away from any responsibility if the album bombed was very revealing. That’s exactly what i was scared about, and was worried when Julian didn’t seem too interested in promoting the album – though he seems to have got into it recently. Julian’s also the only one who seemed to want to differentiate which songs he had written himself from the rest of the ones on the album whereas none of the rest of the band were interested in pointing that out. Anyway, that crap aside, i thought the comments about the album sounded really interesting – some of the tracks sound really exciting. Although the interviewer seemed impressed, he didn’t exactly seem blown away by it all but, as someone on here was saying before, maybe this album will just be the stepping stone to a greater 5th album.
I’d love to see a video interview with all five of them together in the same room, at the same time. Why the hell are they so against that? Ever since FIoE they started this crap and it’s so annoying because you can’t see any interaction between them or hear them engage with each other.

Really curious how some of these songs end up sounding after NME’s impressions. I’m cautiously optimistic. I thought the 3rd album was a big letdown, especially from a production standpoint. Still a pretty good album but the production makes it hard to listen to on some songs.
