If you’re plugged into this site, the news of The Strokes beginning work on a fifth album comes as no surprise. Yet, it’s satisfying to see Nikolai excited about the new sessions and the band seizing the momentum of creating Angles.
Now that The Strokes have reconvened and considering they have already worked on and recorded a number of songs before releasing Angles, I’d say Nick’s wish that Strokes V is released before the new year isn’t too far off. I’m not expecting a new record before the end of the year, but Strokes V in 2012 doesn’t seem out of the question.
