The Strokes’ ‘Angles’ Sells 90,000 Copies In Its First Week

by Eric Van Dril · 51 comments

The Strokes’ Angles was the third highest-selling album in its first week on the Billboard chart.

The band’s fourth record is projected to sell 90,000 copies at the end of the week, finishing behind Chris Brown’s F.A.M.E. and Jennifer Hudson’s I Remember Me in the United States. Brown is projected to sell between 250,000 and 300,000 copies, while Hudson’s second record is projected to sell 160,000 copies.

The Strokes were challenging Adele in the British charts during the middle of last week, but it appears as if Angles will finish third in the British charts as well. First Impressions of Earth, the band’s most recent album, debuted at No. 1 in the UK.
