For over two years, the only music website I checked daily was Music Induced Euphoria.
Fuck Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Spin, Stereogum and all those other websites. Ever since Hanan first told me about her site (on a post I did on RipcordNews.com about the Zane Lowe session of You Only Live Once), I felt like she was the only music blogger I could trust because our tastes are so similar.
It’s my hope that most of my readers are at least familiar to Hanan’s contribution to The Strokes’ community. She’s posted about the band every single day for nearly two years, posted a ton of Strokes bootlegs and even jumped on stage to hug Julian in a non-creepy way.
I always felt like Hanan was my equal. She and I have the same insane/intense passion for The Strokes and we even went about participating in this community in the same way. In an odd way, we’re soulmates. As I think about it more and more, I grow increasingly sad about losing my favorite music blog.
I hope you feel the same way.
