Petty Fest: Albert Hammond Jr and Ryan Gentles sang, Fab Moretti played drums for Caleb Followill,

by Eric Van Dril · 6 comments

A trio of Strokes — yes, we’re still counting Ryan as the sixth Stroke — played at Oct. 24′s Petty Fest. Albert performed “I Need To Know” with tennis legend John McEnroe, and Ryan played “You Wreck Me.”

Photos of the event — including Ryan, Albert and Fab — can be seen here.

And below is a video of Fab playing drums on American Girl, a song which sounds very similar to Last Nite. I believe this is the first new video of Fab playing drums to surface since the Strokes’ last tour date last year in South America.

If any additional videos of Albert and/or Ryan, I’ll post them in this space.

Also, I’d love to hear Ryan sing – I’m really curious what his voice sounds like. Fingers crossed for some more videos!

I love that Albert played “I Need to Know” – IMO the next best Petty song after American Girl (and Runnin’ Down a Dream)

Fab on American Girl = :)

@Modern Age
I agree! They’re all really getting out there in the world – I love it!

@Tu Papi
We’re on that other KeSha thread. Join us there! Sadly, nothing essential happened. We’re all still waiting…
