That’s hilarious. I wonder if Albert co-wrote the song. It mostly sounds like a Casablancas solo song, IMO.

I’m already loving the artistic direction this time around. First the cool album cover (regardless whether real or not), then this awesome retro lyric sheet.
Where are the lyrics sheets from FIOE? I saw the ones from Angles but don’t think I know about any others! I think they’re so cool.

Agreed! It reminds me of how much effort Julian put into the artistic direction of Phrazes – the artwork for the posters, the album cover, etc….

I wonder whose hands they really are? lol, because they’re definitely not Julians and I don’t think they’re Alberts.
I guess they’re just trying to clearly show there that they are MEN’s hands (holding hands)…but like Thelma & Louise…hahaha…I love it!
FIOE lyrics book is with the cd itself. u should buy the cd. the whole book is full of ‘julian casablancas/the strokes’ kind of artwork.

Those 2 hands look like they’re from the same person! Even with the lyrics its meaning is still cryptic to me.
@LillySu, thanks for the link, I’d never seen them until now. I LOVE the artwork for Evening Sun (fitting as it’s tied for my favorite track from FIOE with Electricityscape). The one for Ask Me Anything looks very Angles-esque.

I really like the whole vintage thing! Different for them, but then again, so is their new sound. I’m into it.
I like the cover, especially the color. Hopefully we’ll get some cool artwork and lyrics in the album booklet like FIOE had.
After all the critics about Angles’ artwork, maybe they decided to go for something plainer, just like they did for ROF after the polemics on ITI.
It’s quite simple but I like it, there’s a cool retro vibe in it. And if we get the lyrics book made by Warren and Julian, the cover won’t really matter right ?

That was… Interesting. I’m more surprised at how quickly this came out, considering that OWT was just barely released.
“One Way Trigger” sounds more like Julian Casablancas than The Strokes.

I love the design on the lyrics sheet since FIOE, and the one’s we got from Angles (wish we had Under Cover of Darkness’ one). But the funny things is that most of the lines doesn’t sound anything like what’s written…oh, Jules!
