NME interviews Nikolai Fraiture, Albert Hammond Jr. on side projects

by Eric Van Dril · 4 comments

NME interviewed both Albert and Nikolai about their upcoming releases in an article posted earlier today.

In it, Albert talks about the meaning behind Born Slippy, his inspiration and releasing his record on Vagrant — not Cult.

Should we read anything into that? “No, I guess I just felt it needed a different home,” he says. “Nothing weird or anything…”

Nikolai’s inspiration for Summer Moon “started out as songs that I was writing, but now we’re heading in a more collaborative direction,” Nikolai said. “It’s not a hippy-dippy group. We have two badass girls in the band, so there are a lot of tensions and pushes and pulls.”

He’s currently close to completing his first album with Summer Moon, according to NME.

So excited for Summer Moon. Albert – as we already know – will be fantastic.

Reading this is perfect timing after my run on Wed. I’m not sure what happened or maybe a combination of things. I just kept in mind the only run I regret is the one I dind#&8217;t do.I hope all went well with Cornell.
