‘I’ll Try Anything Once’ Featured In Sofia Coppola’s ‘Somewhere’ Trailer

The Coppola family’s affinity for the music of The Strokes is pretty well documented.

Roman Coppola, the son of Francis Ford Coppola (the director of the greatest movie ever made), has directed several of The Strokes’ videos and performances, including the official videos for Last Nite, Hard to Explain, Someday and 12:51.

Sofia Coppola, the director of Lost in Translation and girlfriend of Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars, featured What Ever Happened in Shakespeare in Love Marie Antoinette and has now picked the “I’ll Try Anything Once” demo to be featured in her trailer for Somewhere. Somewhere is tentatively scheduled for a December release.

Sofia featured Whatever Happened in Marie Antoinette, not Shakespeare in Love. she didn’t direct SIL.

in any case, Sofia + Thomas = cutest couple ever. I am pretty sure the lyrics in “Napoleon Says” are a love song to her. “you wanna be European, I will be your Bonaparte”
