How to pass the time waiting for Strokes V

by Eric Van Dril · 23 comments

The Strokes will play a pair of shows in South America next week and then, after that, they’re most likely going to be extremely quiet for an extended period of time.

Reader Mateja recently posted a link that will help pass the time. By clicking on that link, a list of full Strokes shows — some of which were already on the Internet, some which aren’t — will be listed on YouTube. Be sure to check it out.

Here’s a full show — a 2002 gig in Portland — I’d never seen before tonight. The second song they play is an early version of Meet Me In The Bathroom with different lyrics.

@Eric, Of all the Strokes fan sites out there, this one is my favorite.

Very good. Please guys, on the new album, allow Albert to have some of the guitar leads.

All I need right now is the full version of “I Like the Night” by Julian

Thanks for the credits!

I just saw the live @ Belfort (the best show IMHO and the one that should have been part of a DVD) and now starts my period of abstinence from TS till i see them next friday. Is going to be a long week..

Yeah, thank you Mateja (have a great show this weekend :-)) and Strokestubes for the links to the videos (gosh how much I love Julian’s voice) they’re so comforting and fun to watch, but not as much as his tweets though. Thanks to him, now I have the schmaltzy song “Kiss me”, from the serie, stucked in my head :

@Bastian I agree, where the fuck is ILTN?
After watching them live, and now expecting Angles V all I need is a new song to save my life.
I’m remembering now how happy I was this year when I listened over and over again Under Cover of Darkness, and when the other songs came out. I’m really looking forward to Strokes V
Do you guys think they will release another single off Angles?
