I’ve been listening to a lot of Queens of the Stone Age lately and, if you’re at familiar with the band, this is going to be the stupidest post you’ll ever read. So just stop now.
If not, then you have no idea that Julian sings backing vocals and plays the synth guitar on
“Sick, Sick, Sick”.
It’s not news, but it’s a way to kill five minutes of your time and make me feel like I’m not neglecting the Strokes even though I’ve been listening to them non-stop over the last two weeks. Anyway, Julian can be heard at the 2:35 mark.
To return the favor (or the other way around), QOTSA and Them Crooked Vultures frontman Josh Homme played drums on The Strokes and Eddie Vedder’s remix of Marvin Gaye’s “Mercy, Mercy Me”.

I didn’t know Homme played the drums on their Mercy Mercy Me cover. That’s news to me. Strokes related news! So no apologies necessary for the post. It served its purpose.
