Check It Out: ‘Angles’ Tracklist And A Promo Pic Via Rough Trade

“Under Cover of Darkness” is reportedly scheduled for a Feb. 9 release, according to 107.7 The End’s Twitter feed. In my eyes, that’s the landmark date that I’m looking forward to most.

But earlier this morning, Rough Trade posted a promo pic of The Strokes as well as the tracklisting. I guess that’s noteworthy, even though we don’t have the corresponding songs yet.

The tracklisting is…

So what do you think your favorite song will be? I’m going to go with Life Is Simple In The Moonlight Machu Picchu. I’m a sucker for rock bands using hip-hop beats (15 Step being the perfect example).

I’m gonna go with Machu Picchu because of the apparent “hip hoppy” feel and Gratisfaction because it’s one of those classic, clever Strokes titles.

machu picchu is a very appropriate jangly strokes title. its hard to explain how much that title works.

I have to say that 2 kinds of happiness sounds like a winner. I’m a little worried about Metabolism, but it’s The Strokes, they can pull anything off. Counting down the days!
